Easy Way To Identify What Tooth Count Flexplate to Use for SBC

One easy way to identify the tooth count on the small block Chevy without having to count all the teeth on your flexplate is to look at how you're starter is mounted. If the starter uses 2 bolts mounted directly across from each other you have a 153 tooth flexplate and if the mounting bolts are diagonal from each other then you have a 168 tooth flexplate.
